New improved AirPods for launch in 2019.

A report released by Bloomberg has revealed Apple’s intentions with regards to audio devices for 2019, including the 3rd generation AirPods, over-ear headphones and the next HomePod.

It is believed that the new and improved 3rd generation AirPods will be of significantly greater quality, water resistant, and may also include a noise cancellation mechanism currently under research by Apple, in addition to functionality at an increased distance from the iPhone or iPad.

The continuation of a Lawsuit accusing Apple of App Store Monopoly is reviewed by the U.S. Supreme court.

In 2011, a Lawsuit was filed against Apple that accused the company of illegal monopoly through the restriction of iPhone users to mobile apps within its own App Store, thus reducing consumer choice.

Senior Waymo engineer hired for Self-Driving Car Project by Apple.

Jaime Waydo, an autonomous vehicle expert who was previously employed at google’s Waymo, has been hired by Apple. She was previously in charge of verifying the safety of the prototypes produced at Waymo, and provided input assessing when it would be safe to carry out on-the-road tests in Phoenix in 2016. According to her former colleagues, she was “instrumental” as the head of systems engineering at Waymo.

Apple anticipates 2018 LCD models will represent the majority of sales.

Of the three new 2018 iPhone models, the launch of which is rumored to beSeptember, the LCD model is currently the odd one out, being both the cheapest and the only one not to include an OLED display like the iPhone X. However, according to The Wall Street Journal, the LCD model is expected to constitute a major proportion of the iPhone sales in the current lineup.

World Cup Content coming to Siri and Apple TV

With the World Cup 2018 fast approaching – kicking of on the 14th of June – Apple has introduced a Siri update with sports support, as well as featuring World Cup coverage on Apple TV and iOS devices, via FOX NOW in the USA, allowing fans to follow their favourite teams by utilising the TV app’s Up Next feature.
